BOLLYWOOD dialogues of yesteryear such as `Tera kya hoga kaliya' from the Ramesh Sippy blockbuster of the 1970s, Sholay and `Main aur meri tanhai aksar yeh baate karte hain... . (Me and my loneliness often talk to each other... had you been here it would have been like this, had you been here it would have been like that... you would've laughed on this... you would've been amazed on that...), from the film Silsila, still continue to have a much higher recall than the dialogues of the more recent Bollywood blockbusters.

Funny Dance

I love a good laugh. Oh, it just feels so good. And I love dancing. Put them together and it's a heaven of high beat hysterics. This lens is a compilation of video clips from moments that make melaugh and crack up until I feel like dancing! (Or dance until I feel like laughing?!) Many are funny dance moments, others are ridiculous and hilarious comedy skits.
They bring high humor and most are super silly.
It is so good to laugh your gutts out! To say: I laughed so hard, I blew milk out my nose. Stop! I can't breathe. I almost peed my pants. That was a riot! OMG, so funny! Stop, I can't stand it! That's so FUNNY! I laughed so hard, my face hurt. I laughed so hard, I almost tossed my fish. I laughed so hard, I cried. I laughed so hard, I had to change my shorts. I burst out laughing so hard I almost needed stitches? Like a hyena. I laughed till I cried. I laughed till I flyed!
I want to die laughing.

I am a big fan of Whose Line Is It Anyway. So you'll find many of the show's best moments as well as other funny video clips. Oh it feels so good to LAUGH. Thank you to all the talented comedians and musicians for this craziness of fun.

Run directed and cinematographed by Jeeva who directed a Tamil film '12B' down south. Run is a simple film about complex situations, in which people learn different things about life, about themselves and about others. Love and hate, laugh and cry, live and learn; it has it all.

Every day we come across new situations and with each situation comes a choice. A choice leading to two paths. One which you run towards and one which you run away from. Such a situation arises for Siddharth (Abhhishek Bachchan). There comes a time when he decides to make a choice in his life. He leaves behind his home in Agra to find new aspirations and dreams in the city. There, he meets the innocent looking Jhanavi (Bhumika Chawla) with whom he falls in love. But little does he know that she has an elder brother by the name of Ganpat Choudhary (Mahesh Manjrekar). He hates the thought of any men approaching his sister.

Run in a remake of a Tamil film of the same name starring Madhvan and Meera Jasmine in lead roles where Atul Kulkarni played the role of the vicious brother. Jeeva who directs the Hindi version was the cinematographer of the Tamil film as well.

With the film actress Ayesha Jhulka makes a comeback playing Shivani, the doting sister of Siddharth. The film also stars Mukesh Rishi (as Siddharth's brother-in-law) and Vijay Raaz. Himesh Reshmmiya's tunes are already making waves at the musical charts.

Besides Run, Bhumika is also busy shooting for Atul Agnihotri's debut venture Dil Ne Jisse Apna Kaha. She will also play a cameo role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Baji Rao Mastani.

Funny Advertisements

Funny Advertisements.

Welcome to the blog of funny commercials. Commercials can have just anything. It can be a serious commercial or a health related commercial or even one that would convey some productive message. Not many people know but a funny commercial too can be a great stress buster. A commercial is nothing but a joke, which is pasteurized including some product. Each and every product has its advertisement, which is being shown in the television.

When we see a program on some stuff, it is irritating when they take break to show few commercials. But we should understand one thing that these are the funny TV ad commercials, which are being shown, are with productive message or entertain us and sometimes they behave like a break for your mind to relax. Nowadays, many people just switch their television on just to see these very funny commercials, which indeed are too funny to resist watching. If a commercial has no fun then it’s not really worth watching or even calling funny.

A man walks out of a bookstore, carrying a bag, and onlookers staring at his bag smile. His bag is printed with a woman’s face, and the part of the bag where his hand slips in (to grasp the handle) is right where the woman’s mouth is. On the bottom right of the bag is a message: “Stop biting your nails?” The bag is a walking ad for a formula that helps grow back nails.

We’ve all seen scenes like this one. Funny advertisements that snatch us, pick us up for short ride, and bring us down surprised. Funny ads are all over the place. On billboards, on packages, in audio, and in video!

In one Swedish commercial, two middle aged men in a sauna sit side by side, presumably naked, but viewers see only their chests and faces. One man sleeps as the other leans in to stare at the other’s crotch. The sleeping man wakes up, catches his embarrassed seatmate, but nudges for the other to go on. So the other leans in and picks up… the newspaper on the other man’s lap.

Humor, novelty, misdirection, and shock value are all woven together to get people’s attention, and the people, in the span of a few seconds, intuit the message, admire the medium, and retain the message longer than the news they read this morning.

The Super Bowl telecast proves every year that the nation's best ad producers believe humor is a powerful advertising tool, especially in television commercials. A funny commercial generates excitement. It has a good chance of being remembered. The best ones generate the consumer buzz that advertisers now seek.

As folks attending Super Bowl television parties have observed, some viewers look forward to the commercials more than the game. They keep watching even when the game gets dull.

Local advertisers have experimented with humorous commercials for decades, with mixed success. They are apt to try more in the future because:

* They are challenged by the same clutter that national advertisers face;
* They have more technology to work with in creating commercials;
* There are more funny examples to inspire them.

Some politicians, facing a growing weariness with both syrupy ads and attack ads, are also opting for humor in their campaign commercials, sometimes finding their humor in attacking the opposition. That was evident in the 2007 Louisiana election campaigns.

The 2008 presidential and Congressional campaigns could be a banner year for funny political commercials as the politicians try to separate themselves from the pack, reach out to younger voters and take more advantage of Internet video capability.

Every year about this time, we start thinking about an exciting television event: the Super Bowl. I'm excited because it's the biggest football game of the year. The rest of the family just likes to watch the commercials. No doubt, some of those commercials are hilarious, and there's often more conversation about the commercials than the game itself. Companies spend millions buying advertising time, and millions more developing commercials that will stand out from the pack on Super Bowl Sunday. Other than watching your favorite team lose, there's nothing more disappointing than seeing an old commercial during the game.

But don't you sometimes wonder whether advertisers actually get their money's worth? Do people really remember the product being advertised? Or do they just remember that guy getting hit in the crotch repeatedly with dense, spherical objects?

Surprisingly, there actually hasn't been much research on the effectiveness of humor in ads. Instead, most research has focused on expectancy: if something in an ad is unexpected, it's more likely to be remembered than something we expect. Even more importantly for advertisers, the unexpected event in the ad must be directly related to their product.

Humor is sometimes funny because it's unexpected, but it's also often quite predictable: Many people still laugh the fifth time Justin Timberlake's stunt double gets crunched in the groin.

So what's the relationship between humor, expectancy, and whether an ad is remembered? James Kellaris and Thomas Cline showed 263 students one of two different cartoon "ads" for one of two invented products: Windsor Coffee and Jubilee Coffee. Previous testing had shown that people expect Jubilee to be a funnier coffee brand than Windsor. Both versions of the ad had humorous headlines, but only one version was directly related to the claims the ad was making about the product. Kellaris & Cline don't share the actual ads in their report, so we don't get to find out how "funny" these ads really were. This shouldn't matter, since everyone saw the same ads, with just the product names changed.

The students were divided into two groups based on their need for humor test scores. As you can see, there was a strong relationship between need for humor and the number of claims recalled. If you have a low need for humor, you're more likely to remember a funny ad when humor is unexpected, and less likely to remember funny ads when humor is expected. For those with high need for humor, there was no significant difference in the number of claims recalled, whether humor was expected or unexpected.

Of course, this opens a paradox for advertisers. Clearly humor works best when it's unexpected and related to the product. But if an brand develops a reputation for producing humorous ads, whether it's Bud Light or Mutual of Omaha, won't viewers eventually begin to expect humor regardless of how serious the company's line of business?

This study does a good job isolating one aspect of humor in advertising, but of course the dilemma of real-world advertisers is much more complex. They must appeal to customers who can easily fast-forward or mute commercials. They must attract attention long enough for viewers to get to the punch line. And they must do all of this while being memorable and selling a product. Still, it's fascinating to see how just one aspect of creating a good advertisement depends so much on a viewer's expectations and inclinations.

Online video marketing and promotion is positively one of the most effective routes independent publishers can take up nowadays if they want to significantly increase their Web traffic, visibility and exposure. But what are the key ingredients to make video marketing effective?

According to a BurstMedia survey, 7 out of 10 adult internet users viewed online video content and more than half of respondent’s age 65 and older are watching online video clips. Marketing managers should embrace online video now or get left behind for good.

Who do you think would know best this stuff outside of those who actually posted some of those popular clips? Well, whoever has tabs and precise data on the whole video publishing situation, can tell a lot more than anyone single user, as looking at the forest rather than that at the individual trees can make a huge difference in building an effective video marketing strategy.

The truth is, the use of video for marketing till now, has been amateurish and many are downright boring. Marketers who can learn how to use videos the right way will have a great advantage over their competitors.

You already know that successfully marketed website videos will increase your sales and build your business up faster than any other marketing method.

Like the small report, try to keep your video brief and to the point. While people would rather watch than read, you still don’t want to overload them. The point of a using a viral video (like reports) for your business is to give visitors useful information but just enough.

As an example let’s say you join Technorati. You then make a video, tag it with the keyword phrase “funny online video” and upload it to your account. Now all individuals within the Technorati community will be able to access your video when they type in that particular keyword. This is very powerful. Tag viral and bookmarking social can put you in front of a large audience immediately.

Online video is one of the best venues to engage an audience – don’t even think about excluding it! This new medium allows the video creator to communicate a message on multiple levels – via visual imagery, the spoken word, music and visual text. It may sound like a commercial for a Montessori school – but this is the way people learn, and consequently, the way legendary brands are created. As a case in point, think of traditional internet marketing; when was the last time that a paid search listing or banner ad raised your blood pressure or induced you to forward something to a friend?

The internet has in many ways leveled the playing field. Just stay alert to any new innovations and be ready to incorporate them into your internet web site marketing strategy. A smart viral marketing campaign can make any small business successful.

Funny Hollywood Movies

Top 10 Comedy Movies

Dramas aren't drawing audiences (unless they're dramas loaded with action), but comedies continue to do well at the box office. That said, there were a lot of disappointing laffers released in 2009 (Year One, Land of the Lost, Observe and Report, etc). Thankfully, there were enough decent comedies to make up for the ones that just didn't work. Here are my picks for the funniest movies of 2009. Remember, these are my personal favorites - feel free to disagree.

The absolute best time I had at the movies all year came from watching Zombieland. Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg are the unlikeliest zombie-fighting team ever, and the way these guys play off of each other is absolutely hysterical. Add Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin to the mix along with the best cameo in years, plenty of zombie kills, a smart script, great action sequences, and smooth directing, and you've got the perfect 'escape from reality and just have fun' moviegoing experience.

The Hangover

The Hangover broke box office records following a tidal wave of positive word-of-mouth online, tweets proclaiming its hilarity, and great reviews. The ballsy buddy film set a new record for an R-rated comedy, smashing the record set by Beverly Hills Cop 25 years ago. As of December 2009, The Hangover had amassed $277 million during its domestic theatrical release, and who knows how much more it'll take in on DVD/Blu-ray. Why the fuss? Because The Hangover has just about everything thrown into it - a chicken, a tiger, a baby, Mike Tyson - and it all works. Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper, and Zach Galifianakis take every joke as far as possible and then go further, and the result is laugh out loud funny.

Fantastic Mr Fox

Wes Anderson's responsible for some of my favorite comedies (Rushmore, Bottle Rocket, The Royal Tenenbaums) yet I wasn't immediately sold on Fantastic Mr Fox. The animation looked freaky, the trailer did nothing to raise my interest, and I thought big name actors (led by George Clooney and Meryl Streep) had been brought in to try and raise the buzz level and nothing more. Boy, was I wrong. Anderson's a sly fox who doesn't disappoint with his first venture into animation. There's nothing 'freaky' about the way this story comes to life on the screen. An animated film for adults - the humor will go over kids' heads - Fantastic Mr Fox is strikingly beautiful, witty, and hugely entertaining.

Up

Up is yet another in the long string of animated hits from powerhouse Pixar. Millions have now fallen in love with an elderly man who uses balloons to fly his house to Africa and the obnoxious nine year old Wilderness Explorer who accompanies him on his journey. It's touching, it's gorgeous to look at, but most of all it's sweetly funny. Up takes you on an emotional journey while never forgetting to throw in the laughs. And there's not a dog lover on this planet who can resist the charms of Dug the talking canine. The first time I watched Up I came home and gave my dog an extra hug. It's that kind of movie; it evokes a strong response and just makes you happy to have watched it.

(500) Days of Summer

I'm a sucker for a smart romantic comedy, and (500) Days of Summer is one of the most intelligent of rom-coms to come out this decade. The narrator begins the film by saying it's not a love story, yet there's a whole lot to love about (500) Days of Summer. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays a hard-working greeting card writer who believes there's one specific woman out there for him and that he'll know it the minute he finds her. Zooey Deschanel is Summer - as in '(500) Days of' - a free-spirited woman who doesn't believe in love at first sight.

The Proposal

Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds have been friends for years, and the two romantic comedy veterans had been on the look-out for a rom-com to do together for quite a while. I'm glad they waited for the right project to combine their talents on. The Proposal finds Bullock playing a workaholic forced into saying she's in a relationship with her underling (played by Reynolds) in order to stay in America and keep her high-powered job. Along with scene-stealer Betty White, Reynolds and Bullock prove you can make a snappy romantic comedy that doesn't play down to its target audience.

The Informant

Matt Damon reunites with the director of the Ocean's films, Steven Soderbergh, for this tale of corporate intrigue. Damon stars as the vice president of a huge agri-business firm who turns tattle tale and spies on his co-workers for the government. But there's a catch: he's really, really lousy at it. Damon looks scruffy, pudgy, and like an average, everyday Joe in The Informant!, but his performance lifts this film way above the average comedy.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past

Matthew McConaughey plays a carefree bachelor who has no desire whatsoever to be in a committed relationship and who treats women callously. On the eve of his brother's wedding, he's visited by - you know where this is headed if you've ever read/watched/heard of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol - the ghosts of his former girlfriends. Of the two films released in 2009 based on Dickens' beloved story - this, and Disney's 3-D performance capture version - Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is by far the best. Teaming up with another romantic comedy veteran, Jennifer Garner, McConaughey is roguishly charming, melting hearts and guiding the story smoothly over any minor speedbumps.

Julie & Julia

Meryl Streep had a busy 2009, lending her voice to Fantastic Mr Fox, playing the attractive older woman at the center of love triangle in It's Complicated, and tackling the role of legendary chef Julia Child in Julie & Julia. Streep is good in all three of her 2009 films, but her incredibly engaging take on Julia Child, going over-the-top and seeming to love every minute of it, stands out. Amy Adams also shines as an office worker who sets out to conquer Julia's entire Mastering the Art of French Cooking cookbook while blogging about her experiences. I can't cook, but this movie made me want to whip up a soufflé. It's a delicious treat you should not watching when you're hungry.

Bruno

After Borat took the box office by storm in 2006 it was almost a given that if Cohen wanted to bring another one of his characters - gay fashionista Bruno - to life in a feature film, some studio would give him the go-ahead to do so. Universal Pictures won the bidding war, but not everything was bright and shiny for Bruno. Cohen did what he does best and not everyone was pleased with the result. To me, Bruno was exactly what I anticipated and so it didn't disappoint. The film delivered on its promise, even while lagging way behind Borat's box office numbers. Twitter helped to kill Bruno's opening weekend take, with people immediately Tweeting their opinions after leaving the film. I liked it, but I'm in the minority on this one.
